If the unthinkable happens and your hot tub quits during the cold winter weather the number one concern is to get it up and running as soon as possible to prevent any freezing and subsequent damage.
There are a few things, as hot tub owners, you can do to limit your risk of having to deal with a frozen tub.
Be sure to check your tub daily to ensure it is running and the breaker has not tripped or circulation has stopped. (yes, this means especially when it is so cold you don't even want to go outside. Sorry!)
If you notice your tub is not circulating - check the temperature of the water in the tub (this will give you an idea of how long the tub has been "down")
Check to breaker to ensure it has not been tripped.
If you can't immediately solve the problem with a power supply issue, place a portable heater in the pump/equipment area of your hot tub to prevent any freezing and damage in that area. (this will buy time)
Call us at 204-729-9289 to inform us of the problem and we will have someone there as soon as we can. (we do not have 24 hour emergency service, so step #4 is in place so you have time to contact us and we have time to get to you)
